Hardware Engineering Manager

We are undergoing dynamic growth and are currently seeking an exceptional Hardware Engineering Manager with a proven track record to manage a team of FPGA/ASIC engineers working on the company's leading-edge regular expression processor (RXP) semiconductor IP and related products. The team is responsible for a wide range of RXP IP related tasks, including gathering and defining product requirements, hardware specifications, RTL design in VHDL and System Verilog, functional verification and debugging, and ensuring the designs meet functional and performance targets.

You will work with key stakeholders and customers to balance product capabilities, product quality, delivery timescale and budget. Day to day, you will take responsibility for managing the team, overseeing their work, and liaising with other functions to support product releases.

The ideal candidates will have some/all of the following experience and capabilities:

  • 7+ years FPGA/ASIC project management experience
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Strong technical skills and are happy to work at all levels from high level strategy to hands on debugging
  • A good knowledge of ASIC and FPGA circuit design, verification techniques and methodologies
  • Usage of VHDL, System Verilog, Verilog, Python, Perl or TCL
  • Developed and/or used interface and memory controller IPs such as AXI, PCIe, DMA, CCIX, DDR, HBM2
  • Experience in start-ups
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar discipline
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

Location: Belfast, UK

Package: to £90,000 plus benefits depending on experience
